2) Legal framework
This policy is governed by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and other applicable data protection regulations in Colombia. Peewah operates from Colombia and serves organizations internationally.
3) Who this applies to
It applies to:
- Organizers (individuals who create an account or represent entities that use Peewah)
- Attendees (people who register for events or purchase/receive tickets through Peewah)
- Prospects (people who contact us, submit forms or subscribe)
4) What data we process
Depending on the case, we may process:
- Identification and contact: name, ID document (where applicable), email, mobile number, city/country
- Event data: registration, attendance, form responses, purchases/orders (where applicable)
- Technical data: IP address, logs, device/browser, cookies/identifiers
- Support: messages, tickets, support history
As a general rule, Peewah does not request sensitive data. If an Organizer configures forms that request it, that Organizer is responsible for justifying the request and obtaining the corresponding authorization.
5) How we collect data
- Peewah forms (account, contact, demos, landing pages)
- Event registration forms created by Organizers
- Support interactions (chat, email)
- Technical data generated by use of the platform (logs, cookies)
6) Purposes of processing
6.1 Operational purposes
(no additional authorization required when necessary to provide the service)
- Create and administer accounts (Organizers)
- Manage registrations, tickets and operational event communications (Attendees)
- Send technical, security and platform-change notifications, and transactional messages
- Prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access
- Customer service and support
6.2 Improvement and analytics
- Usage analytics, metrics, performance, experience improvement and stability
- Internal reporting with aggregated and/or anonymized data (where applicable)
6.3 Commercial purposes
(with authorization where applicable)
- Send information about Peewah products/services and updates
- Advertising campaigns and measurement (cookies/trackers) when the user accepts them
7) Peewah's role and the Organizer's role
7.1 Attendee data collected for an event
For most events, the Organizer is the Controller of their attendees' data (they decide purposes and use). Peewah acts as a Processor (processing and storing data in order to provide the service).
7.2 When Peewah may be the Controller toward an Attendee
Peewah acts as Controller when it processes Attendee data for:
- Support requested directly from Peewah
- Voluntary subscription to Peewah communications
- Security, fraud prevention and technical operation of the platform
8) Who we share data with
We may share information with:
- Technology providers (hosting, analytics, email/SMS, payment gateways, support) who act as processors and are required to protect the information.
- Organizers, to enable event management (according to the event form and configuration).
- Authorities, where there is a legal requirement.
Peewah does not sell personal databases.
9) International transfers
Some providers may be located outside Colombia. In those cases, Peewah adopts reasonable contractual and security measures to protect the data, in accordance with applicable law.
10) Cookies
Peewah uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- essential functionality,
- security,
- measurement and analytics,
- advertising (where accepted).
Where required, users may accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner/settings.
11) Data retention
We retain data while there is an active relationship with the account or the event, and for as long as necessary to comply with legal, accounting or tax obligations, or to handle claims.
Afterwards, data is deleted or anonymized in a reasonable and secure manner.
12) Your rights and how to exercise them
You have the right to access, update, correct, request deletion of your data, withdraw your authorization, and file complaints with the Colombian Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
To exercise these rights, write to [email protected] with:
- full name,
- ID document type and number,
- email/phone,
- a specific request,
- and supporting documents where applicable.
Response times (indicative, under Law 1581): inquiries within 10 business days, claims within 15 business days.
13) Marketing emails and opt-out
If you submitted a form on this site or subscribed to our communications, we may contact you with information about Peewah. You can opt out at any time by replying to any of our emails with the word UNSUBSCRIBE, by using the unsubscribe link in the message, or by writing to [email protected]. We honor opt-out requests promptly and in any case within ten business days.

Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional or service messages related to an event you registered for or an account you hold.
14) Security
We adopt reasonable technical, human and administrative measures to protect information (access controls, monitoring, backups, etc.). No system is completely infallible, but we work to mitigate risks.
15) Minors
Peewah does not direct its service to minors. If an event admits minors, the Organizer must ensure the corresponding authorizations and legal compliance.
16) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will publish the current version on the website and indicate the update date. If a change is substantial, we may notify you by reasonable means.
